Better than other streaming services.

I left Slacker for almost a year and used Apple Music and Tidal for several months. While those services have exclusive albums, when I select a song to create a station with, the results were terrible. For example; I selected a song from Nas' debut album, from 1992, to be used as a basis for a station. All the music I got afterward were current pop rap hits. Literally nothing that I was looking for, and there is no ability to fine tune the station.

With Slacker, I can fine tune the stations and they're usually pretty close to what I want to hear. I'll miss out on some exclusive albums, being able to have a preset playlist of songs I actually want to hear is the best part of the music streaming service to me.

Slacker is Great!...but it siked me a bit.

Ok. I love the 70's deep dive and the new wave deep dive stations! Also the Chicano Old School station is really cool! Great selections offered for our listening enjoyment.
BUT... It has crashed and I can't retrieve it on my Samsung Notebook4! Arghh! I just listen on the ole iPad now. Maybe I'll figure it out. I did try the other online music stations. They just don't come close with station choices as Slacker
Update.... Note4 connects now. I just had to log out of iPad then onto me Note4😊
I also love theThe Favorite Mashup Station option. That JanGo app doesn't support an individuals taste for their own listening song choice pleasure any longer.
Gracias Slacker. I listen on.

Good but has problems

I went with Slacker mostly for its inexpensive offline feature and I was familiar with them. I used it back before Smartphones in the mid 2000's. It's a good, solid service and I am happy with the music selection and what's played on the stations I listen to. What I am not happy about is how often the app sort of just stalls on me mid song. This happens in both the offline and regular mode and can be quite frustrating. I listen while I am working. I drive while I am working for most of my day. I can't stop to fiddle with the app every time it does this (and it requires fiddling to get going again). Thus, I am stuck listening to silence instead of the music I am paying to listen to.
