Slacker Radio is all about reconnecting you with what makes radio great. Our team of curators have built hundreds of stations that will deliver the hits, surprise you, and keep you completely looped in to what's happening in the worlds of music, news and entertainment. Our hosts will keep you company along the way, including guest-commentators ranging from John Legend to Tyler Oakley to Florida Georgia Line.

While we start with an expert team of curators who create exceptional stations, the final music flow is dictated by the songs and artists that you "heart" and "ban." This interactivity even extends into news and sports programming from ABC, ESPN and more.

Listen free for as long as you like or upgrade to a Slacker subscription for ad-free listening, unlimited song skips, offline play and on-demand access to your favorite songs, albums and artists.

Slacker Radio…radio that listens to you.

Bring back LYRICS!

Now that I've learned how to navigate this latest version I'll give credit where due and say it's Slacker's BEST ever. I doubt anyone will miss the blue-tiled app that resembled the OS flop from a major Seattle software company. The missing feature I'd like to see returned is LYRICS. They were there before so can we bring them back? Some documentation would be nice, but users should look for new features like an exclusive Offline mode (that doesn't stop playing to update!), a preset station list (pull right if you remember where to find it!), a global play history that spans channels and playlists, a specific channel play history, and a specific favorites list by channel in addition to the overall global favorites (that has been renamed to something like 'my music' but same meaning.) I'm a premium subscriber and feel the app has added value to the subscription and will keep me from deflecting to the competition since this seems to be cutting edge.

Taking away features

UPDATE: following the February 2015 update, every time I go to play the app, it doesn't load anything and comes up with a network error connection. This is whether I'm on wifi or not, and happens everywhere, not just in my home. I uninstall and reload and it works great once, but once I exit the app, it never works again until I uninstall and reload. I have been a faithful user of Slacker since 2009, and this is the most ridiculous, irritating problem I have ever had with them, or any app. FIX THIS!

I love slacker and have been using it as my main radio app since 2008, but it seems like very time they update they take away more features from non-paying members. We used to have unlimited skips on our favorites playlist, we used to be able to view full lyrics, and we used to be able to view the next artist and song coming up. On top of the constant pestering to rate and review (at this point I'm always choosing no in not loving slacker) the stars just keep dissipating. Maybe we won't even be able to hear whole songs if they keep going...

What happened to my slacker?!

As I said, what happened to the Slacker that I know and love?? I have always been a huge proponent of Slacker over the other streaming radio apps. I have always told people that I know to delete that garbage Pandora off their phones and download slacker. But with the last 2 or 3 updates, all of the wonderful things that made Slacker leaps and bounds (IMO) better than the rest have been replaced with some other form of crap. I cannot tell my friends and family in good faith to download and use Slacker anymore because it doesn't work for me!! Now, I'm lucky if I can even get my Slacker to even start. Most of the time it just crashes. If I do get it to start, then it stops randomly in the middle of a song. Super frustrating!!!
Slacker please fix this!! Take away the new look!!! I, along with most Slacker users I'm sure, do not like it! The old ways were much better! Better streaming audio! Easier interface!! Just all around better! Please Slacker, I beg you! Stop the nonsense!!
