The Secret to Waking up on Time

I think I have found the perfect combination of alarm clocks. I always set Sleep Cycle to be my first alarm, and another app called SpinMe Alarm Clock as my backup. Sleep Cycle usually wakes me up in my optimal wake up time, but sometimes it just isn’t enough for me and I’ll either snooze through it or turn it off and go back to bed. If Sleep Cycle fails to wake me up, my backup alarm SpinMe will start blaring which can only be turned off if I get out of bed and spin around twice before it finally shuts off! Crazy but it works and I haven’t been late to work since I started doing this. And no you can't just spin the phone around in your hand!

Sleep Cycle really does help in waking you up during your light sleep. I can feel it working most mornings. And I have studied the science behind sleep so I can attest that the premise of this app isn’t merely a placebo, but something that has actually been proven. However the problem that this alarm clock doesn’t solve is that sometimes (especially on nights where you get very little sleep), it can be really easy to ignore your alarm clock and really hard to wake up. That’s where SpinMe Alarm comes in, an alarm clock that is impossible to ignore and forces you awake. I highly recommend using these 2 alarms together. Best few dollars I’ve ever spent!

Great concept; would love if it actually worked

This app worked great -- for ONE night. On night 1, I set the alarm for 8:45am with a 30-minute window so that the app would wake me anytime between 8:15-8:45am. It went off as expected on night 1 and I loved checking out my sleep patterns the day after. The second night I used it, the app spontaneously switched its wake time from 8:45 to 7:45. At the time, I attributed it to "oh, my fingers must have fumbled or something as I was setting it before bed" and I moved on. I blamed myself. Then, on night 3, I made sure to triple-check the time as I set it down on my nigtstand before bed. It was 100% confirmed 8:45am. I made no mistake. I figured nothing could go wrong again, as I had consciously noted that I made no mistake this time. Yet, to my shock and dismay, I was rudely awakened at 5:45am this time -- 3 hours ahead of my intended alarm. It is highly disappointing that the accuracy of this app that I PAID FOR is non-existent. It makes me question the entire integrity of the app and its technology. It simply does not work and I do not trust that this app will actually wake me up at the intended time. Luckily for me, the alarms went off before 8:45 rather than after 8:45 on both nights which would have resulted in me being late for work. I got lucky, I guess -- but maybe you won't. What a shame and a waste. It's too bad we can't get refunds. I wish this app worked as it's meant and advertised to... :(

Great app

This app keeps me accountable. I use to get just 3 to 4 hours of sleep a night but now with this app I can see where my sleeping problems are and try to fix them. I've been able to get an average of 6 to 7 hours of sleep with the use of this app. The only thing that's holding me back from giving this app 5 stars is I think it should incorporate a recorder into the app with a time stamp marker so people can see if sounds, snoring, or their own nightmare/terrors are waking them up. It would be nice to be able to play back recorded sounds that may possibly be disturbing the sleep pattern and hear what other problems may be interfering with sleep. Would be a great improvement if I were able to reset the wake up time for a later time. Sometimes my kids wake me up in the middle of the night and I decide I need to skip my morning exercise to get adequate sleep but I'm unable to change my alarm time without stopping the app. This cause me not to be able to account for all of my sleep time. It would also be a bonus if you could change the alarm to a later wake up time when the alarm wakes me up in the morning as sometimes I need to get up to wake other people up before I return to bed to get more sleep. Great app!
