Let me start by saying I'm a fan of vNovel and have everything they've published so far. And I've had high hopes that they would become a big publisher of English-language dating sims, a genre thats huge in Japan but has yet to catch on here. I love their Flower Shop game and had no problem paying top dollar for it. But this?
First, be warned, this is not an interactive novel, like Flower Shop. It's a book. There is ZERO interactivity in this title. No choices. None. You're just reading a story.
Second, the story. It's just plain awful. Redundant storyline, two characters it's almost impossible to care about and endless monologues about nothing. I felt like the only real challenge in this title was making it to the end without falling asleep!
Third, the art. It looks like something a freshman high schooler threw together on their second time using Photoshop. No sense of style, the characters and scenes are flat and the "beautiful" girl is, well, judge for yourself. The screenshots show you pretty much all there is to see in this app.
Seriously, vNovel! You should be ashamed. Not only is this not worth $15, it would be a waste of time if it was free. You're going to have a hard time winning back this loyal customer with your next title!
Everyone else, consider yourself warned. I love this genre and want to support anyone willing to deliver dating sims, but not if this is what they consider a worthy effort. Clearly, they phoned it in.
