Customer Reviews

I started with the Sonos connect. Now I have four . I run the Sonos connects in, parallel so I power four speakers per connect. I also use an old Bowes sub woofer plugged into the connect for extra base. Works amazing and will never buy an amp again. I then purchased a sound bar for the TV with subwoofer. Amazing. Kicks on immediately once the TV is on sub is always on. Great sound. No need for Dolby surround sound with the play bar. The play bar and sub woofer is enough. I then bought a Sonos play five. Really good midbass. I can't say enough for Sonos and I hope they never go out of business. Their app updates to keep up to date and I never have any disruption of service. I have called Customer Service two times for simple questions I should've been able to figure out. My questions were answered immediately. Worth the extra money for Sonos. I would like them to create a portable waterproof Sonos device I can take to the beach.

Simple, flexible

Got my first Sonos six months ago and have grown to five zones. I love the flexibility of choosing different music (or TV or radio) for the different rooms and being able to group different zones in any combinations. Tech support is outstanding. Have used them twice. Once to help get rear speakers tied in with the Playbar and subwoofer. And a 2nd time when my home network messed up after cutting the cord from TWC. In addition to the Playbar and sub, I have two Play 1's for a couple of smaller rooms (13' x 13'), a Play 3 for larger kitchen area, and two different connect amps. One connect amp for existing ceiling speakers in our sunroom, and one connect amp for two Boston Acoustics I already had for rear speakers. Will probably add more zones as time goes on. The app takes a little time to get use to but like many things becomes second nature as muscle memory takes over.

Pretty darn near perfect!

As for sound, SONOS is incredible. Having the radio on nearly all the time growing up and then always purchasing decent audio equipment growing up, I wanted a high quality audio system for our condo. But neither my wife nor I wanted wires hanging or wanted I have professional installation that the next owners might not want, etc. After much research, SONOS was the answer. After starting with the PlayBar in our living room, we now have SONOS in three rooms. I love to independently play music per room as well as having the same music pumping through our place.
I do wish the SONOS was compatible with Siri and/or that I could start music without having to access my smartphone or computer apps. (Directly from the speaker perhaps.)
All in all though, the quality and sound is great and to get that with hardwiring and all that makes SONOS a great choice.
