Recipes for a younger generation
I love this app, and these guys. Their recipes make cooking easy, fun, and delicious for those living in the tech generation. You can find most of Sorted Food's recipes on the app, although some of their older ones are MIA. The nice thing is you can add your own recipes to the app as well, and share your favorite dishes with other foodies worldwide!
There are two reasons I'm not rating this a 5 out of 5 though. First, you can save any recipe on the app to your "cookbook" to look at and cook with later. Sadly there's no way to sort them in your cookbook though. Meaning you have one long list of recipes you have to scroll through to find the one you want. Not very user friendly, very time consuming, and a bit of a challenge at times when you're ready to cook dinner. I also down graded it because no matter how I try, the app still lists me as being in London, England even though I'm in the US. This isn't a big deal unless another user is looking at your recipe and thinking you use the same measurement system they do and then it can be a small issue.
All in all, a decent app for food lovers!
Hard to use, but good recipes
I mostly use this to access recipes from the show, which I love aside from the occasional crude humor and ongoing put-downs. But the search function keeps opening Safari to pull up their page. When I tell it to go back to the app, it lets me search, but then after I tap a recipe and look through it and push the back button to look at other search results, I get bounced back to Safari. Ridiculous. In a less-buggy way I am also annoyed by how the ingredients and each step are on different "pages" so you can't scroll through the whole recipe at one go. The website is hard to use too. Overall I like the recipes, but it's difficult to use them with tech like this.
Designed to make you love cooking, not milk you for cash
Sorted just feels different from every other food/recipe related outlet on the internet. The guys behind it have a genuine interest in getting people to live cooking, and this app shows it. No annoying adverts, not in-app purchases. Just beautiful, well-formatted, delicious and creative recipes. Would give if 6 stars if possible.
