GOT THEM

I use this to keep my provider giving what I pay for and I'm getting a credit because I'm supposed to have 100mbps and to around 80mbps they told me that's good and I said yes it is good but you advertise 100mbps not 80mbps and I'm paying for 100mbps and I want it or I want a credit until you can provide it for me. They sent out a guy to test the signal and he couldn't get above 85mbps and of course he said everything is working great and I said yes it is but I pay for 100mbps not 85mbps not even 99mbps and I want that or a credit. So he calls his supervisor and tells him the speeds are great but not 100mbps so they had no choice but to give me a 15 dollar credit per month off my bill. It took a lot of back and forth and pleading my case to get that but they advertise 100mbps they better be able to provide it.

Over charged

When my parents asked me to check their cable bill, I was shocked. They were paying $254 per month on cable for everything including higher speed internet. Personally, I think its fraud that the sales people at TWC sold them these high services because my parents didn't know any better. The funny thing is that when I did a speed test - they had less than 7mbps on the download and less than 1 on the upload....and were paying extra money for the boost! I called them up, removed the charge and was given credit. Sure they took care of me, but its really terrible....this is a must have app and is extremely valuable. Thank you!!

I run it at many times in many places

I use this app to verify my ISP's speed at home, my T-mobile speed at home and away, and the speeds of public networks I log in to. I even used it on our recent Japan trip!
It's not just useful in keeping providers honest, it also tells me whether I have a decent chance of downloading big files, streaming video, etc, based on the performance it reports. Better to know up front before nudging the cap.
It seems to do a pretty accurate and consistent job of reporting speeds, and usually matches up well with other speed tests I occasionally use.
But this one is the go-to!
