Super Simple Window Management.
If you are looking for more advanced features like:
1. Complete Dual Monitor Support
2. Drag & Snap Windows (like you do in Windows OS)
3. Restore original window position
4. Shrink 1/3 window
5. Shrink Top Left
6. Shrink Top Right
7. Shrink Bottom Left
8. Shrink Bottom Right
9. Place window in Center
then get Split Screen Ultimate from here:
Split Screen allows you to effortlessly resize windows to exactly half your desktop at the touch of a simple keystroke. Gone are the days of trying to resize windows to fit nicely next to each other, with Split Screen it is as easy as pressing a button.
- Resize window left
- Resize window right
- Resize window to full screen
Split Screen is fully configurable, allowing you to choose which shortcut keys to use.
Split Screen supports about 90% of apps (some apps are not designed to be resized) and we are adding support to new apps all the time.

minor bug fix
Graphic designer generally using an external display with my Macbook display as the secondary. I opted for the “pro” version via their website since it offers more dual monitor options. Often need to use multiple windows between Adobe Applications and Finder windows to access network files, hard drives etc. I’ve used this app for about a year now. Occasionally the app will freeze but for the most part works as described. Primarily use it to shrink left and right (splits two windows on a monitor evenly). My only complaint is not being able to create shortcut keys to shrink left or right on the "next screen” (secondary display). The shortcut keys (which you can customize) are only available on the primary display. You can click the app drop down window with the window you want selected to shrink, fo full screen etc on the second display, but this f***s up productivity quite a bit when you’re used to using shortcut keys. Honestly just as effective to drag the window to the next screen and double click the title bar. If I’d known that I probably wouldn’t have upgraded to the pro version.
As a developer, I often need my IDE/Sublime open as I look up syntax. The lack of splitscreen support on Mac infuriated and confused me for such a long time but now I can finally look at two applications without taking the time to resize windows. My only complaint would be that I had to pay money for access to an easy to implement feature that all other OS’s have for free. However, if you need a mac for Xcode or Swift, this is a must have.
I needed a way to compare transcribed documents to originals — this saves me so much time and effort. Easy to use once I figured out that the commands were in the icon that showed up on the top of my computer after I downloaded the app. The video explaining how to use it would benefit from voice over narration though— some of us need words with our pictures!
