Customizing an item in to a pre-existing favorite will fill in the heart
Previous items saved as favorites will fill in the heart
Duplicating favorites provides the correct Favorite status
You can save your favorite items by tapping the heart in your order
Tap Add another item, or “Menu and Favorites” to view your list of Favorites, then one click to add them to your order

Love this app!!
I love the fact that you can order straight from your phone and then go pick up or send someone to pick up for you. Also, reloading the app from within the app is great too. There have been several times my husband was at the local Starbucks and he needed me to reload the card and I could from my house 15 min away. There have only been 3 issues with the app that I have experienced. 1)Auto reload was slow at updating, hence why I had to manually reload for my husband (but not a deal breaker for me). 2) when I want a creme frappuccino with no coffee and the item has coffee in it you can't remove all the shots from it on the customize section. You would have to pick a creme item and customize it which costs more on the online ordering. I don't like to pay more than I have too.
3) my order history recently froze and was showing October. I had to delete the app and download it again, while this was inconvenient, once again not a deal breaker for me.
I work for a major company and know that apps have their problems so reporting the issues I have will help the tech team fix them. I really like Starbucks and the app makes life easy to do. Thanks!
Constant reoccurring issue since I got the app almost a year ago
Starbucks coffee is not my favorite, but they have the BEST reward points program, and are close by my work, so It makes it worth the compromise and I go to them. I don't use the app to order ahead but all of my friends use the app to order and then pick them up, and have had a lot of problems using it that way, and having their order totally messed up or never received. I have had a reoccurring issue however with reloading my card from the app, it will ask me for my password and no matter how many times I retype or reset it or how many different password I try it NEVER accepts it. I know for sure what my password is on here, but it always says it's wrong, and it is impossible to add money to my card from the app, I always end up having to open my safari browser on my phone and reloading my card by logging into my account online, where it will always accept my password the first time. Other than reloading my card I haven't come across any other issues, but this is one that for me personally has been irritating because if I keep having to go online to reload it, the only thing I'm even using the app for is to pay with my phone instead of a card at the register.
I really like this app and use it all the time. I really like being able to reload my card from the app and the fact that you don't have to carry your card with you all the time. My favorite feature is definitely the mobile ordering so you can Skip the Line. Our Starbucks almost always has a line inside and out so this enables us to get coffee on mornings when we otherwise wouldn't have time. (For those of you saying "Leave earlier", we try, but with a new puppy, it never seems to work out.)
The only thing that I can think of that would make this app even better is that it would be great if it could let you know when you order that something is out of stock at your store. That way you could make whatever changes you need at that time instead of having to do so once you are in the store. It defeats the whole purpose of trying to Skip the Line if you are in a hurry. Even without this ability, it is still a great app and I highly recommend it.
