Works, most of the time

It happened again! Dropped my status made me offline and wouldn't connect! Had to drop a star...

In the middle of an important chat I had going on with a friend we were dropped because it made me offline and couldn't get me online again-internet was working :P I am using the same internet within the same half hour with the same device-but that's beside the point. The app is good with minor bugs and some things I wish it had. Bugs include not going to the right chat/profile when tapping on another person's chat bubble when starting a conversation, going offline all of a sudden when you have been on and nothing has changed, small things like that. I also wish they would add Group Chats and Voice Chat capability-I chat with my friends more than I play games, I admit. But it's sometimes the dumbest stuff we chat about (another story) so I'll just say this-I'm giving it more than it should because it has room for improvement. If this doesn't get fixed I may have to drop another star or two *whistles* I don't think valve would like that very much. So just to sum it up-offline all of a sudden, wrong chats/profiles when talking to people for first time per session, want group chats and voice chat, more than I should give. End of review

Absolutely love this!

I've only recently been made aware of Steam and the quite extensive list of games with insanely low prices. Now with this Steam app for my iPhone I can always check for new sales and game releases when I'm not able to do so on my PC. I also really love the remote download feature since 99.9% of the time I keep my Steam program open on my PC at home, I can browse their catalog. Make a purchase and then I'm given the option to start downloading the game(s) while I'm away from my PC!

Since I don't use the chat feature and so far I haven't felt the need to add station cash to my account, I haven't run into any of the problems others have because of the lack of there features. It does exactly what I want it to do: Look for any sales going on from my wish list, purchase it and start the download and by the time I get home, I already have the game(s) bought, downloaded and ready to play!

Thank you everyone at Steam for offering this app along with all of the other goodies you guys sell on your website. Keep up the good work and you'll have me as a customer for life!

Definitely a very impressive iOS port, me myself was worried with most of the bad reviews and was looking to have the ability to stream steam any time I was connected to a local wifi, and let me tell you this has definitely exceeded my expectations. Overall I would give it a 9/10. I would give a 10/10 but let's be honest, it needs some work especially with chat, sometimes it may send the same message twice, sometimes it won't even send the message, but honestly this rarely happens so I am not really upset over it.

One thing I think would be cool is if, some PC games could be ported to iOS, now as absurd as this sounds. PC games like Five Nights at Freddys, Terraria, basic indie games are currently in the App Store for iOS, and on steam, it would be a neat feature if I could play games from the steam store, obviously not Assassins Creed, Tf2, or other games but in general, Point and Click, indie games. That iOS devices can actually handle!!!
