Total Rip Off
As some others have said there are nice customer service people however this company is clearly structured to rip off customers. I intended to buy a parking pass and because I was less familiar with the site and the listing ended up getting a pass for the show on the following night instead of the night I was going. I immediately realized and within two minutes of purchase called and asked whether they could invalidate the transaction (well within the time that a credit card transaction could be nullified). The person refused because “policy” even though in similar situations with other vendors a mistaken transaction can be voided when money hasn’t exchanged hands.
I was forced to re-list the incorrect pass (which I paid 66 dollars plus another for nearly 20 dollars in fees for) and purchase a second pass. I then was told that in addition to the fees imposed on me as a buyer, StubHub will also deduct nearly 10 dollars from the 66 dollar seller listing that I was forced to post (even though I was told by the customer service representative that they would waive those fees given the absurdity of the entire situation). I am not hopeful that the second pass will be purchased so I just paid twice for the same product and then nearly $30 in fees related to the first transaction for a $66 dollar pass and $15 in connection with the second transaction.
It goes without being said that I will be taking my business elsewhere, this is so ridiculous.
Did not want to make it right!
I typically do not write reviews...Thought I would share my experience recent transaction using Stubhub as I often do.
I was in Chicago and decided to go to a Basketball game last minute and purchased tickets about an hour and half before the event. All appeared fine credit card was charged, order confirmed, etc. I attempted to get my tickets with no luck. I called the customer support Stubhub as I was pulling into the arena. The rep (Sophie) stated that she would call the seller (couldn’t get a hold of them). She stated the seller may have sold the tickets on another ticket site...After some back and forth conversation keep in mind that I am waiting outside in negative -2 degree weather outside the arena due to not having tickets. 45 min or so have passed the tickets that she attempted to offer at “no additional charge”were in a different section and a cheaper price then the original ones I purchased.I informed her that this makes no sense Sophie stated that’s all she can do either I take these tickets or she can refund me my money and there was nothing else she can do. I asked her to speak to a supervisor and the response was quit comical “they are in a meeting” at this point I realized I was not getting anywhere... I was finally issued a refund after a 45 min conversation that went no where and missed a large portion of the game.
Refund Policy is awful; be aware
I purchased tickets to a Miami Heat game and I’ve used StubHub in the past for concerts and ice shows. It’s such a well known brand, you would think they are very accommodating and reliable when you spend hundreds of dollars on their application or website. You would be mistaken. I made an order and realized on the confirmation email that the tickets would not be delivered until two days prior to the event. Typically when you put the option of online delivery, you receive the e-mail with the tickets. Simple process and you have obtained already what you’ve purchased. That wasn’t the case here. I would have to wait from January all the way to April to receive my tickets, 48 hours before the game I’m attending. I called on the same day that I purchased to tickets to request a refund and the online service agent told me the “date of the delivery” was shown three times prior to confirming the purchase, and therefore they could not give me a refund.
If this was months later after the purchase was made, I would understand. But I was able to notice it within minutes of the confirmation e-mail. I called my credit card company and once the charge is confirmed (it’s still pending), then I’ll have to go through the hassle to dispute it. What a hassle and a scam. You’ve been warned.
