Sub Video Player

By Red Kawa Inc.

Open iTunes to buy and download apps.

Sub Video Player lets you watch your MKV and Xvid videos (passed through Sub Video Maker) anywhere you want, with no internet connection required. With our free Sub Video Maker desktop software you can very quickly make playable files from most MKV (like x264, 480p, 720p, 1080p, anime), Xvid (like divx, hdtv) or standard MP4 files. Sub Video Player uses hardware acceleration to play your videos which allows your device’s battery life to last much longer compared to other software based video player apps.

Sub Video Player supports SRT subtitles, Advanced SubStation Alpha subtitles, custom fonts, chapters and multiple subtitle tracks when using Sub Video Maker.

Download the Sub Video Maker free from our website:

Copying videos from your desktop to your iPhone or iPod touch can be done easily using the iTunes File Sharing feature. Click on your device in iTunes once it is connected, click the “Apps” tab from the top menu and scroll to the bottom of the page to see the “File Sharing” section.

The Sub Video Maker software creates playable videos without touching the original video stream and converting the audio stream only when absolutely necessary. This process allows you to create iPhone and iPod touch playable videos anywhere from 10x – 100x faster than converting videos normally to MP4 format. Since the video stream is untouched, there is no loss in video quality when creating a playable video. Sub Video Maker will also copy over any chapters, fonts or Advanced SubStation Alpha subtitles found in your MKV files making it great to play any Anime MKV files you have.

Customer Reviews

Works Great (to a certain extent)

It functions just as it says it would, however the iPod or iPhone itself it seems cannot handle 22 minute video (mkv) files larger than about 350,000 kilobytes. If you put a 400,000 kilobyte 22 minute video on your iPod and attempt to watch it, it will be very very choppy. Beyond that, 500,000+ kilobyte videos don't show up at all. This is not necessarily a problem, if you're interested in watching subbed anime or similar videos on your iPod, download them at 480 resolution and you're fine. Some 720p resolutions work too, if the file sizes aren't too big. Regardless, you can make it work and enjoy watching anime on your iPod/iPhone.

Was good for the first movie

It worked fine for the first thing I converted and watched. Now it either freezes in the middle of coverting the video, or when the video is viewed on the player it is choppy and the sound won't sync up, almost like a ton of memory is being used on the phone and the player can't handle it. I would like a refund please.

Good Job!!! this is the player worth my respect and 5 stars vote!!!

this review concerns both the desktop converter and iphone app.

desktop converter:

-need option for converting subbed or non subbed video
-need a force convert audio option for the desktop converter, my avi file plays smoothly but with no audio.

iphone app:

-tried three different 720p mkv files, one don't run and crashed the app. the other two played flawlessly complete with subtitle and chapters.

Good Job!!! this is the player worth my respect and 5 stars vote!!!
