Absolutely worth your time!
I've loved this app so much. I open it a couple times a day a usually score a decent survey. I've managed to even get a $40 survey and several $10 surveys. I've even had them pay for a meal so I can write a survey about a restaurant! Sure, there are times I'll start a survey, and not qualify...but big deal! The app is free and has been amazing for me! If you keep the location services on, sometimes it will recognize you're in a store they want a survey for and those can pay big bucks! For instance, one time I walked into a Target and got a notification I might qualify for a $100 survey. They confirmed I was in the store, and then I had to answer some qualifying questions. I didn't end up qualifying but the point is I might have...and you might! And it's costs you nothing. The payouts are quick and instantaneous and customer service has been quick to respond the one time I had a question. Anyway...great app. Don't get discouraged when you don't see any surveys and just be diligent about looking everyday. It's so worth it.
Easy to navigate. Simple payout.
This was the first survey app I ever used. Was extremely frustrating at first because I felt like I was rejected for every survey. Eventually I got a few $10 surveys where I physically had to go to a store. I'd say I average about $10 a month, but I have friends who have yet to reach the $10 payout mark and have had it for 2 or 3 months. My advice is just be patient and honest when taking the surveys. You won't make a ton of money, but I made enough to help buy some extra gear for a backpacking trip I am taking. Overall one of the better survey apps out there. You can't expect to make a ton of money using this and I think most people sort of expect that which is where some negativity comes from.
The only complaint I have is sometimes I get through 80% of the survey, and spend 6-7 minutes only to be told I am ineligible. I feel like they probably still use my data but don't pay accordingly due to one minor shortcoming. Why not just ask those questions first? Which is why I am giving it four stars instead of five.
Good at first, then rips you off.
This seemed like a great survey app at first, but after completing those first 'about me' 50 cent surveys, you get surveys that have the info they really want as 'qualifiers,' and then say you don't qualify, giving them your information without shelling out the money they promised. It's an underhanded practice that abuses a feature of the app; the feature should be removed, or the qualifiers should be reviewed before the survey is submitted. On another note, if you get notifications from SOTG and tap them to take you straight to the survey, it will almost never work, saying the 'survey was already completed' even going into it less than a second after you get the notification. If this issues are fixed, I'd be pretty happy with this app; it has a simple interface and doesn't keep redirecting you to shady-looking sites like some other survey apps do, and signing up is easy enough. The surveys are pretty few and far between, though, not counting the ones that cheat you out of your money; I often forget it's there.
