Subtle things make it really cool

I'm a DJ and I found this app really helpful. This is how I use it: Write down general goals in single Evernote notebook. Consolidate what you're trying to achieve into a timeframe, and give it a name that sums up the main idea- this is what you name the notebook. The first note in this notebook is a "game plan" of what has to be done to achieve this goal. Using bullet points, list how you're going to do it. Then divide up these "how's" into their own unique notes with a description of what they're all about. Give them the hashtag #swipes. These are your tasks, and this is what you import into swipes. In the mornings, wake up extra early and put your tasks in an order that you can feasibly accomplish. Give some things a recurring spot, such as assessing your game plan note once a week. Swipes will alert you when it's time to do something. Never ignore an alert, snooze it if you can't do it. The strength of it comes when you're reminded of the goals that you came up with for yourself several times a day. Try not to make concessions for others and neglect your schedule, but if you must, still never blow off the day. Snooze your tasks until later. When you stop using swipes regularly, the app will remind you to, this is my favorite part.

Great App Even Though Evernote Integration Is Shakey

This is a really great app. It is easy to add new tasks to work on immediately and schedule tasks for later. The later tasks are in another tab so as not to give you that overwhelmed feeling you get when you have to much to do. Also you can tag tasks and only look at those tasks. Great for when you want to use the app for both work and home. I also like the sound you get when you complete a task - it's like a little bit of encouragement to keep going and I must say that when I finish all my tasks and swipes says I am done for the day, I feel pretty good.

The only thing that bothers me is that I work closely with Evernote and the integration is not as reliable as I would want it to be and having to re authorize swipes a couple of times a week is starting to be nerve wrecking! Once they get that fixed this app will be even more awesome than it already is!

So far it's good BUT

I'm wary of using it too much because of their saying a subscription fee is coming with new features.

That sounds like 4.99 a month for the new features only, but I've seen too many iOS apps change their business model and promises once they have a user base. Evernote itself has done this, but with them it's somewhat understandable because Evernote is storing large amounts of data. It's easy to put a link to an Evernote note within a reminder app (that doesn't charge a subscription) or use launch center or workflow to link reminders to Evernote. I hope they don't get too greedy with the subscription model

Evernote integration is still a bit shaky. Other than that, the app has potential so long as the coming subscription don't cripple the current functions for non-subscribers
