TapeDeck is a powerful and fun audio recorder for OS X. It’s just like your old analog tape recorder, only better. A lot better.
You're never more than a single mouse click (or keystroke) away from making a new recording, which are called, unsurprisingly, “tapes.” TapeDeck records directly to compressed MP4-AAC or Apple Lossless audio, making it equally useful for quick high-fidelity samples or hours and hours of lecture.
TapeDeck is perfect for musicians that are trying to quickly capture their ideas, students looking for a simple way to record their lectures, or people in the business world that require a no-nonsense recording solution for meetings and dictations.
What's New in Version 1.5.4
• TapeDeck no longer fails to launch in certain circumstances.
Too much audio overload from the microphone feedback.
I think this software shouldn’t be qualified for download since it is a poorly functioning software. I am waiting until the most improved tape recorder becomes available. There are too many negative qualies of Tape Recorder that makes ths recording software quite unacceptable due to problems with various recording functions. It can also make the microphone quite sensitive which causes the speaker to "blow out” or to short circuit. SInce I already have a grace audio reoording device, it would make this software download quite unnecessary. And there is not many features that are available when you want to use it. BE WARNED: If you are going to be using it just to try it out, may I suggest lowering the volume before you open up the application because such surprises are quite unexpected, and when they do, they make you want to pray that you won’t end up losing your hearing or even your next door neighbor.
