Tempad Lite for macOS is a simple and clean way to edit text and markdown files from a local system. Unlike Tempad, Lite doesn't sync and store your notes in cloud.
More over, Tempad Lite is a perfect supplement for its older brother – Tempad with a lot of additional handy features.
No hassle, no distractions, just you and your files:
# Native look & feel
By following design guidelines, Tempad and Tempad Lite perfectly fit macOS essential application family. It's just made to be a part of it!
# Markdown support
Enhance your plain text with style & handful shortcuts: headers, bold, italic, links, delimiters, and many more sweet stuff ;).
# File versioning / Time Machine
Leveraging the power of macOS, you have an access to all previously saved versions of files being edited. Revert to any, any time.
# First ever live text
Bet, you've never seen such a smooth text processor ever: buttery-smooth lovely cursor, chars and floating lines...
# Geniously simple
Quality above quantity; Tempad Lite consists of essential stuff only, no more bloat features.
If you like Tempad Lite, consider buying Tempad (yes, older brother with Sync and more sweet features) to support future development.
That is it. The FINAL Tempad Lite update is out!
Both Tempad and Tempad Lite are now FREE.

Ratings and Reviews
I like it, I wish it had table support and actually changed the text size for the titles. It also needs some features like auto bulleting upon hitting return, and consistent styling between greying out bulleted and numbered lists, as well as some hotkey support (like selecting a bunch of text and hitting a hotkey to bullet all of it).
One massive gripe though that makes it unusable for me: latency is *not* a feature! Especially when it’s not clear how to turn it off. I get that it’s a cool gimmick but it throws me off everytime I go to write in it.
Also it’s a bit weird that it’s the ‘lite’ version yet contains a feature (file opening) that the ‘main’ version doesn’t.
Overall, has potential, needs more options and better hotkey support.
