"The Frostrune is everything a classic point-and-click puzzler should be, and there's really not much else to be said. It's an utter joy to play through, and a genuine must-have for lovers of the genre."
- 9/10, Pocket Gamer
Unravel a mystery inspired by Viking myth and legend in The Frostrune, a classic point-and-click adventure based on ancient Norse culture and environments.
Find yourself shipwrecked on an island after a summer storm. Nearby, a recently abandoned settlement shows signs that its inhabitants left in a panic. Surrounding the village is a dark, dense forest filled with ancient rune stones and burial mounds. Among them are hidden relics and other well-kept secrets that will bring you closer to solving the mysteries of the island.
" The Frostrune speaks for itself and stands out amongst its competitors as a crowning achievement in the point & click genre. For those who enjoy playing Point-and-Clicks or those interested in Vikings or Norse lore, this is an experience well worth getting." - Matthew White, Opnoobs. 9/10

Worth when offered as free app of the day
Got this app after seeing it listed in an article as free for a bit. Overall, wouldn’t pay the $5 for it. However, someone else mentioned pricing at $2, which I would totally pay for this.
Really enjoyed the game. Someone left a comment about needing a guide open, this game is WAY too simple for a guide! The hints are more intuitive than what people claim. And the nice thing is that you really can get by without them. Definitely waiting for the dev to create an expansion.
I agreed the game play involved quite a bit of back tracking due to the small environment. There’s no need for a map of the island, the layout is too easily memorised. I would like to see a larger environment for the next instalment. And definitely more lore/back story — maybe even an explanation as to the storyline of this segment.
Great Point and Click Adventure
This is a very enjoyable point and click adventure game. The graphics are very nice. And, the environment sounds are really well done. The voiceovers are fitting. It is hard to find games in this genre. This is a must-play, if you like these types of games. The level of difficulty is perfect. As another reviewer stated: This game is a great stress reducer. It is more rewarding if you don't use the hints. Think about all the clues and how they are tied to the various puzzles. I was able to get through a three sticking points by re-visiting all locations, sometimes multiple times. Really think about everything you see. I hope to see more point and clicks from this developer.
A very nice, beautiful, stress-free game
As I recommended to my friend, "It’s like an escape the room mystery but set on an abandoned Viking island, you’re solving what happened to everyone, basically it’s just point and click but there’s some pretty stuff like all the speaking is in Old Norse with subtitles and it’s all historically accurate. Finished it in about 3 hours total but it was a nice experience." I like how they freely give tips if you need it. The art and music were beautiful and atmospheric, at no point did I feel like my time or money were wasted. Actually the first mobile game I've ever completed and enjoyed.
