Wow -- I've learned so many new strategies already! This is not your typical piano journal. Its easy-to-read format offers practical suggestions for teachers who are looking for ways to integrate tablet technology or online teaching into their studios. It also provides guidance for teachers who need a basic understanding of today's technology. Also, if you're looking for online resources to help with group class instruction or special events, this is a great resource! Highly recommend for all piano teachers.

The world of piano education is changing and it can be difficult to keep up with the latest technology and find the best way to connect with, inspire and motivate this tech-savvy generation of students. Each month you will have the opportunity to learn from your fellow piano teachers as they share inspiring thoughts and ideas that are working for them in their studios. The Piano Bench Mag is for piano teachers everywhere who are looking for exciting new resources and inspiration to make their lessons more fun, relevant and profitable.

Great Value

This magazine is packed with valuable information ranging from technology tips to recipes.
I love the variety of sources and subjects covered in each issue. This resource is helping me stay up-to-date in my teaching techniques.

Not just a magazine

As a longtime music educator of 41 years, I've seen and read a number of periodicals aimed at music professionals, including piano teachers. Many of them were just too dry and full of professional jargon for easy reading.

The Piano Bench Mag gives you relevant information in a new, updated format that is not only east to read, but also easy to explore, using hyperlinks for additional resources right there in the digital format. These issues won't be laying around, cluttering up your home or office. Instead, you will find yourself returning to a topical issue again and again, delving deeper into the resources included.

Founder and publisher, Karen Gibson, keeps her finger on the pulse of the piano teaching community to determine and choose subjects that are relevant and timely for the piano teaching professional. Various contributors offer their own expertise and insights in the different topics and subjects covered. The Piano Bench Mag is one periodical that you will want to save and use again and again. Thankfully, being published in a digital format makes that easy to do. I highly recommend this magazine to any music educator, especially those who teach piano.

My opinion

Mangle Jaw

Why is the app free but you need to pay for everything? I downloaded it because I thought it could help me but not if I have to spend $3 for every magazine to teach myself. I'm not stashing iTunes cards just to get stuff like that. I can't even get a free sample to see if I can understand what it's getting at. I don't like the app. It costs money when the app itself is free. I get that you would try to make money with it but seriously, you should put in free samples and make the first two people get free so if they continue reading by getting the second one, they may continue using the app. Just saying. That's just my opinion and the advice I think you should take in to make the app better.
