"Luckily for AppAdvice, we’ve gotten an exclusive look at what could become the next iPad sensation." —AppAdvice
"The Rebus Show is a game with visual style and flair" —Cult Of Mac
"The Rebus Show is a fantastic game..." —iPad Insight
Even if you’ve never heard of a rebus puzzle before, you’ll know the concept when you see it. The aim is to guess words represented by pictures. Many of you probably know rebus puzzles from beer bottle tops or from the TV shows Concentration and Catchphrase but you've never seen them like this before. You'll be taken away to an old style Vaudevillian era with animated velvety curtains, antique Underwood typewriter keys, vintage sound effects, an original music score, retina graphics, and of course great puzzles. As iPad Insight kindly put it "The Rebus Show is a fantastic game that brings rebuses to the iPad — not necessarily for the first time, but certainly for the best time." Give it a try.
What's New in Version 1.2
• iPhone support!!!
• Facebook integration.
• Smoother transitions.
• More puzzles.
• Fixed crash in scores in countries where the 1,000 separator is not a comma.
• Minor fixes.
Saw this on AppAdvice this morning, got the free version, played for maybe 30 minutes and knew I was hooked. Had to buy the paid version, as much for the extra puzzles as a thank you to the developer for putting out a great game.
Rebus is like playing Draw Something with a really good artist!
NOTE TO DEVELOPER: The Game Center Achievements aren't working right. The achievements for each level shows as 99% complete after the goal has been reached.
Very good but there is a serious scoring bug
There is a flaw reporting to achievements and leader board. For instance I as I right this have 8,095 points but have only completed the fledgling achievement. Although I have 8,095 points, the all time high scorer is listed as having suhrfers with 2500 points, who knows what he or she really has as I am listed perpetually in 56th place with 2340 points and only 219 total players which can't possibly be correct either.
Not as much fun as their other games. 1. There are no puzzle packs. 2. There is no option to listen to your iPod music.
3. Sometimes it is hard to tell what the picture is. That did not look like a rock!
4. Hint should have options: 5 points first letter etc. It should not be all or nothing.
Definitely purchase cryptograms games first! I have all of them and they are worth the money. However, they need more puzzle packs ASAP!
