Every level of The River Tests has detailed instructions, which describe set of rules for every game. Please read them carefully before starting to play:

good puzzles, Kind of buggy.
Some of the puzzles don't follow the rules. 3 thieves, there is a bug where you cant leave 2 guys with 2 bags totaling more than their own, if one of them doesn't have their own bag(i.e. 3, 3b, 5 and 8b) and 5 sons will give you a pass even if you haven't balanced all the 1 way passes yet. (i.e. a-3, b-5, c-3, d-5, e-3). Other than that the are kind of challenging. I don't buy the only 10% thing though.
A lot of Fun
I found the game both challenging and fun. It is not so hard that its impossible to get through, yet it's also not so easy that its a waste of time. It definitely makes you think, try it out!
Amazing
Best brain puzzle on the App Store. i feel myself smarter after i completed first three levels. The last 4 levels are pretty tough though and I like this - keeps you thinking for a long time.
