Definitely Best of the 3 Montezumas
Awesome game! Mostly LOVE playing it - wld give 5 stars easily if it weren't for some frustrating aspects that increase as the levels get harder. At first I told myself it was just part of the difficulty increasing in higher levels, but it just gets worse & is not part of anything that's "supposed" to happen that I've found.
Difficult to explain: essentially it either doesn't act as tho u've matched the color u have & brings up a different color totem OR the correct color totem comes up at first but them drops back b4 u make ur next match of the same color so u don't get the bonus (& no, I'm not taking too long to make a match - it's w/ normal next match play).
BEWARE!
While the game itself is lots of fun, I cannot give a high rating to anything this company puts out. I paid for the application over a year ago and all was fine. Now with the last update I apparently have unwittingly "unpaid" for the game! How would you like buying a car and years later, after getting a tune-up be informed that you need to pay for the car again, at 2.5x the initial purchase price, in order to drive it continuously. Otherwise you need to push it for .8 mile after each .2 mile drive!?! Congratulations Alawar, you have graduated "how to alienate and lose your customer base in one easy step! To all my fellow gamers out there; history says anything you buy from this company is only yours for a limited time!!! That caveat having been issued, the game itself is well done. Shame. Screw me once, shame on you ....
Addictive, fun-but a power hog
I have ad free ver and love the game. Sounds like the ads ver is buggy; but full version operates fine on the latest fix (iOs 5.1.1, iPhone 4).
I always make sure other apps are off and I run it on 3G (WiFi not even active) to conserve power. Keep hoping one of the updates will address power consumption.
I find the level end search puzzles to be quite flaky with touch recognition. Have to tap 2-3 times on object to 'collect it'. Conseq, accuracy is skewed.
Overall a good purchase; keeps me busy between appts, and I can immediately go back to an interrupted game afterwards.
