It. Was as if he was talking directly to me
Honestly I just want to thank you for helping me see there is so much more to me that I thought there was. Thank you for the inspiration you have given me through your words. This was the most beautiful thing I have ever heard and I hope to here more from you in the later years. This is something I want to pass down to my future children so when ever they feel the way I did, alone depressed, worth nothing and then remember these words and see more to themselves cause I know people out there will never change but I hope that they will be able to rise above that and be able to see themselves in a better mirror and hopefully at my age now I'll be able to do the same now. It's just a shame that inconsiderate people out there don't know the damage they cause or create toward people and the hatred they show others. So like I said I want to thank you cause of your beautiful words I now know that I will be able to see myself in a better mirror so I just want to thank you soooooo much.
As for the story, this is one of the most moving and inspiring pieces of poetry that I've ever heard. Shane does such an incredible job using metaphors and expressing his own emotion in the poem whether the stories were about him or not. Along with that the animations and music are simply beautiful.
The only reason this isn't getting it five stars is because of the book itself. I wish there was some sort of play through button or something so that you could just watch the entire thing go through and not have the awkward pauses between page flips. The pause times break the story up a bit, it doesn't take away from the meaning or emotion , but not as smooth as the video
Meaning lost in Technical difficulties
I would love to give it higher ratings but the reason I can't was that the sound and the pictures kept breaking up and it got worse as the story went on. No clear indication of when to turn the page. When I let it do its own thing. to see if it would indicate by a blinks light or the corner of the page to turn; it did not turn, just got stuck in kind of an infinite loop of graphics. I never did get to hear the end of the story. But it had REAL promise and I wanted to find out what happened. It could really help with kids being bullied to know they are not alone. Unfortunate thing that it has technical difficulties.
