TouchOSC is a modular OSC and MIDI control surface for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad by hexler.
It supports sending and receiving Open Sound Control and MIDI messages over Wi-Fi and CoreMIDI inter-app communication and compatible hardware.
The application allows to remote control and receive feedback from software and hardware that implement the OSC or MIDI protocols such as Apple Logic Pro/Express, Ableton Live, Renoise, Pure Data, Max/MSP/Jitter, Max for Live, OSCulator, VDMX, Resolume Avenue/Arena, Modul8, Plogue Bidule, NI Traktor, NI Reaktor, Quartz Composer, Supercollider, vvvv, Derivative TouchDesigner, Isadora and many others.
The interface provides a number of customizable touch controls to send and receive messages:
Faders / Rotary controls / Encoder controls / Push buttons / Toggle buttons / XY pads / Multi-faders / Multi-push / Multi-toggles / Multi-xy pads / LEDs / Labels / Time & battery displays
Additionally the program can send Accelerometer data. The application comes with example layouts and completely custom layouts can be constructed using the free TouchOSC Editor application.
Please navigate to http://hexler.net/touchosc for more information, video demonstrations and download the free layout editor application for OS X, Windows and Linux and the free TouchOSC Bridge utility to easily control any MIDI-capable application on your computer.

Practically useless atm
I only managed to get the coremidi connection working, but like others cannot get the touchosc bridge to receive midi data. The website is very unintuitive, and livecontrol does not function and so ableton live is rendered useless. I am able to get the Simple template to work, but only using coremidi. My advice to the creator is to address these problems and also create a more intuitive website, as this is not currently the case.
Logic Pro X
I have been trying to get this app working with my DAW for 4+ hours. I've downloaded every single piece of software their labyrinthian site laid out for me. I've scrolled through countless forums full of people saying they just had to tinker until they got it. I'm tired of tinkering. I just want it to work so I can track my vocals. I managed to get the signals working on their "Simple" template... I'm convinced I'm doing something wrong. A brilliant idea ruined by a convoluted set-up
ETC EOS lighting control
This works great with the latest ETC software that includes OSC. A little trial and error connecting with board but that was mostly settings in the ETC software.
