Jewish ghetto and Navona Food and Wine tour
I highly recommend doing this tour as soon as you get into Rome! Claudia was our tour guide and our family enjoyed the information provided and all the restaurants we went to. You start with lovely appetizers and then a pizza stop with some beer or wine and then a lovely pasta stop with lots of different pastas and of course more wine (yeah!) and a dessert stop and then coffee and of course gelato! Try to go on the tour hungry so you can enjoy all the places we eat at! Claudia was super informative and answers all your questions about eating out in Rome and what to expect. She will recommend restaurants and places to eat nearby if you ask. She's a lovely person and we actually did this tour twice! When we go back to Rome we will book it again and say hi to our favorite new Italian friend Claudia! The office was very helpful too! Dani helped us reschedule a tour a couple of us missed due to illness. A great experience and one you won't regret. If you like the tour you can tip the guide which I did. Don't hesitate to book it's fun and you get your money's worth. Ciao!
Front Desk Clerk
My wife Jan & I arrived in Addison around 8pm Tues. July 18, 2017 with a two night reservation thru Expedia. When we arrived we were greeted at the front desk by Kirsten who was very friendly and had an amazing smile. She got our paperwork & room number for us then explained how to get to our room. As soon as I open the door to the room I was engulfed with the smell of Stale cigarette so I called the Front desk and explained to Kirsten that this room wouldn't do since neither my wife or I smoke and I have allergies. Kirsten said that normally I would have to call and make the room change with Expedia (who had apparently not put the Non-Smoking request in our info)but to give her a moment and she would see if she could do it for us. Within moments Kirsten had taken care of the matter and I went to the front desk, signed the new paperwork and had a fresh smelling room. Kirsten went above and beyond the norm to accomplish this when it wasn't even her job and we Truly Appreciate her for it.
History Meets Comfort
The Golden Lamb was a delightful experience. As the oldest operating inn in Ohio, we did not know what to expect. The history signage of many rooms was very interesting. There have been 12 presidents and many authors and politicians who have stayed at this well-preserved inn and we learned a little about them as we walked the hallways. The bedding was terrific! We had a wonderful meal from their extensive, somewhat unusual menu. We enjoyed interacting with the small town shop owners and walking up and down the two blocks of shops that provided a lovely view of plants and parks. Our favorite find was the comfortable second-floor porch overlooking the main shopping area and providing a restful evening to sit and read.
