Bug fixes and stability improvements
We checked in and weren't happy that they had no handicap cabins available as we requested when making our reservation. The cabin assigned next had 27 steep steps not in anyway handicap accessible! Cabin number three had 7 steps and we made it work. But several hours later one of the children pushed on the locked door and it opened! We called for a repair but they were unable to help and we had to move at 9:00 pm (to a cabin that the registration clerk said was unavailable! The old jacuzzi was stained and very unappealing. The couch -omg - was so old and worn out with flat cushions. We had to use bedroom pillows to sit on the couch - ouch! There were tv cable wires stretched across our walkway steps. The silverware and dishes only served five which lead to continuous dish washing. We were disappointed by the limited menu at the restaurant and slow service. However the food was good. The pools were nice because the were new. We did notice that the pool decks were not cleaned daily. We saw an insulin test strip on the pool deck for 3 days! AND the new pool area hot tub had a lump of feces on the coping AND people were in the hot tub!! The equestrian center was beautiful and well kept. The staff were less than charming and seemed robotic! We won't come again. Shenandoah Crossings is definitely not the BlueGreen starship!!
Jewish ghetto and Navona Food and Wine tour
I highly recommend doing this tour as soon as you get into Rome! Claudia was our tour guide and our family enjoyed the information provided and all the restaurants we went to. You start with lovely appetizers and then a pizza stop with some beer or wine and then a lovely pasta stop with lots of different pastas and of course more wine (yeah!) and a dessert stop and then coffee and of course gelato! Try to go on the tour hungry so you can enjoy all the places we eat at! Claudia was super informative and answers all your questions about eating out in Rome and what to expect. She will recommend restaurants and places to eat nearby if you ask. She's a lovely person and we actually did this tour twice! When we go back to Rome we will book it again and say hi to our favorite new Italian friend Claudia! The office was very helpful too! Dani helped us reschedule a tour a couple of us missed due to illness. A great experience and one you won't regret. If you like the tour you can tip the guide which I did. Don't hesitate to book it's fun and you get your money's worth. Ciao!
Amazing vacation for the family with teenagers
Got the "Rock Royalty" level and was so happy!!! Yinis (Jeanie) our personal assistant was so helpful in every way!! She made our stay unbelievable!!!
We like the rock royalty pool and Ylca-was intuitive to our family needs- weather it was a soda for my kids or drinks for us - she made the day special and allowed us to relax- I highly recommend a day with the Bali bed at the beach- $$ well spent and Request "Anna". Also can't say enough about the spa- my husband who is not a spa guy - loved the couples massage- we also did "John legend " package and it was totally worth the extra $$- ask for Angela and Dammas". They have worked here for years and are total pros- again Book it with them and you will be so happy!!!
My kids did the "snorkeling trip- and had so much fun- nightly entertainment has been fun for us all- my son got to "play guitar" in a band- with the "Rock Lab"
All in all my family had an amazing time and my kids 15 & 18 are asking if we can come back next year!!!!
