Great but wish notifs sync
This app is great and is hands-down the best Twitter client I’ve ever used on both iOS and Mac. The streaming feature is perfect, I don’t ever have to “pull to refresh” when I’m on Wi-Fi, and new tweets show up instantaneously.
That said, I wish the notifications sync across device. I have an iPhone and a Mac, but if I get a mention on the phone and read it (or even replied to it), and I go back to my Mac a few HOURS after, the notification would still show up on the Mac client. Basically, the menu bar icon lights up as blue and says I have 1 unread mention.
This app is SO close to perfection, I wish the devs can polish this and make it the truly great app that I think it can be.
Really great, just wish sync always worked
Syncing between 2 Macs and 1 iOS device using iCloud. One Mac and the iPad sync fine every time, but the other Mac only worked for a few days and now is back to not working. Wish I knew what the problem was. That’s the fly in the ointment of an otherwise very functional Twitter client.
Now there are rumors that Twitter is going to go Facebook on us, and mess up our strict timelines. I only hope that if they do, Tapbots finds a way to re-sort the tweets to make it look like the old timeline. :-)
This app crashes so. much.
I love this app, but I can’t recommend it to anyone. I have a Macbook Pro with Retina rocking a 1TB hard drive, and this app literally crashes on my MBP at least five times a day, and it’s been doing this for over a year. I check for updates regularly on the app store, but it never fixes the issue. On top of that, they don’t have a dark theme, which I would greatly appreciate in the future. This app is a mess. Unfortunately, it’s driven me to use the official twitter app, which isn’t nearly as functional, but at least it doesn’t crash on me every half hour. Save your dollars.
