Twitter is now available for Apple Watch.
Tweet, Retweet, reply and favorite in a flash. Quickly see recent Tweets and top trends. Share your location, a song, or your thoughts with a flick on the wrist. It's Twitter, but littler.
Twitter is a free app that lets you connect with people, express yourself, and discover more about all the things you love.
See what your favorite celebs and athletes are chatting about. Be the first to hear breaking news. Catch a glimpse behind the scenes at concerts, sporting events, and more.
Then join the conversation: Tweet your own text, photos, and video to your followers — and maybe make a few fans along the way.
Get inspired. Be social. Even send private messages to friends. All in real time, as big (and little) things happen, from anywhere you happen to be.
What's New in Version 6.28.1
This update includes minor improvements.
A disgrace to social media
You wanna talk about garbage, let's talk about Twitter. I've successfully opened and closed four accounts now. It's asinine. How anyone could ever possibly enjoy such a lousy Facebook rip-off is beyond me. It's main feed page is unorganized and if two people you follow have a 15 minute conversation, instead of having the common sense to condense the exchange, Twitter makes you scroll through every individual tweet. And I also hate the 140 character limit. Who's bright idea was that? The written language is devolving at a steady enough pace without Twitter encouraging people to make short-cuts to reach its character limit. And on top of that, when you tag people in a tweet, their usernames take up characters. So, the more people you talk to at once, the less you can say in one tweet; that's encouaging people to clog the feed because they'll have to break up one thought into several tweets. And let's be honest, no one cares what anyone says on Twitter. You talk into dead air and you pretend to be satisfied because so many other people use Twitter too. Well not me, as I said, I've closed four accounts and there will definitley not be a fifth.
This app.. To a degree it does what it basically should.. But regardless of all the upgrades all the time, it continues to not address a few of the most basic issues that it has had since the beginning.
The largest being side typing. All these years and you still can't turn your phone sideways and type..which makes it harder to hold the phone and want to be in the app less. In addition, with recent updates, the one part of the app that allows you to sidetype, the actual compose tweet part, now has a bug where when you try to type on an iphone, it pushes the text above the visible field so that it is impossible to see what you are typing. And if you can side type in the tweet mode, why not the dm mode? I would happily use a decent alternative if it existed.
Nope still didn't fix issues with the app. Come on Twitter please. First off lately when I'm on a tweet or even someone's account and I swipe to go back it freezes up sometimes. That needs to be fixed asap cause it's so annoying. I still believe the app can be faster and to have the app not use so much storage over time. Especially when clicking links or watching videos. Please I want to see that. Lastly also sometimes when I launch the app and pull down to load the new feeds it won't load. It's not my internet cause other apps load. So please fix that and I can give the app more stars. Almost forgot the whole promoting tweets those just pop up so often. Even if you hit the appears to often or this tweet is not relevant
