Fix the bugs, please!

IMHO, Vivid HDR is the best HDR app on the market, but it’s currently suffering from two problems that have lingered for several months and drop it way down in the ratings.

Problem 1: The location feature that is supposed to indicate the location a photo is taken, doesn’t work. Images are incorrectly labeled with locations in Asia, mostly China. This has been going on since the implementation of IOS 11.

Problem 2: The in-app editing feature is not working, and has not worked since about the time of the IOS 11 release. This is the feature that can be activated after selecting an image in Vivid HDR’s in-app gallery and tapping the palate icon. It’s one of the strongest features of the app that allows one to switch from Lively, Natural, Dramatic, Bleached and Grey Art, AFTER taking the original image. It also allows for adjustments to brightness, contrast, and a host of other variables.

With these two problems, this great app is still worth the trouble, but it would sure be great if the software engineer(s) would fix these problems. I have written several times, as have others, but there’s no word as to when, or if, these problems will be addressed.

Love the app! Please fix these problems!!

Good but could be better

While easy to use and also offers integration with Pro Camera, I am able to produce better images in HDR Pro X when the scene has more complex dynamic range. This app could be significantly improved if it offered an option to select the locations where metering takes place (HDR Pro X allows you to select 3) and also allow Immediate HDR, contrast, brightness, color, etc as opposed to just the presets offered in vivid. The ability to make those adjustments allows the user to better control the the quality of the HDR image.

From great to fabulous in one rainy vacation

I have enjoyed using vivid HDR for the past year and a half to add pop to my pics on the go. The variations available make it easy to find the right formula for each shot without overdoing the hdr. I just returned from a rainy week in Kodiak Alaska with my nikon dslr converted to infrared and another nikon dslr with a brand new zoom. VividHDR was my primary camera best in inclement weather and for doing the Kodiak coastline justice. Thank you VividHDR for rescuing my vacation pics!!!
