WatchSim allows WatchKit developers to mirror their simulator windows onto an iPhone or iPad at actual size. The mirrored watch screen relays touch events back to the simulator allowing developers and designers to evaluate the user experience of their interfaces.
A simple outline bezel is included, but custom bezel designs can be uploaded to the app using iTunes file sharing.
WatchSim requires the free WatchSim Server (download from http://www.dannykeogan.com/apps/WatchSim.html) to function.
Cannot believe this app exist! It makes testing the look and feel of an Apple Watch. Doing on the Mac sim do not even come close. It is makes a huge a difference to be able to touch, sweep the screen of the iPhone as it was a watch screen. In addition it shows the true screen size. Even if you get the watch itself, using this sim will be much faster to use. Thanks you for the developer for helping me a minute later after I asked my question! Cannot beat that!
This app makes it possible to get a sense for what a WatchKit app in development will feel like when it's running on the upcoming Apple Watch. There's no other way to do this right now, and being able to do so helped me to craft a better app for my users before the Apple Watch is released. Even after the Apple Watch comes out, I still see myself using this app to test my Apple Watch apps. It also helps to make marketing images of the apps running on whatever Apple Watch you want. Great app!
Starting the server on my Mac and connecting to it from this app could not be easier. The app looks slick and does exactly what it needs to do. I only had trouble getting the bezel images loaded, but the developer responded to my questions immediately.
