Great tool for planning and communicating trips

I use Waze almost every day to determine whether I will be arriving to appointments on time. It gives me enough knowledge to reset expectations before I am already late. The share option for trips has completely eliminated the challenge of coordinating with my wife. She knows I will share the trip when I start home and so she no longer calls to find out when I expect to be home. I also find the new "planned trips" feature has been great for getting me out the door at the right time for an on time arrival.

There are a couple of things Waze could do better: it should be easier to get to the gas price finder from the gas price reporting tool (and the other way around). It would be good to allow more than two stops in a trip, and it would be nice if you could enter several destinations and get an optimized trip. And the app's mapping software cannot seem to grasp the (admittedly odd) use case of a one-way parking lot that spans two streets at my daughter's school. It constantly directs me to the "out" door and does not stop directing me to the school once I get to the front door (it tries to send me around the block so I can enter the "out" door.

Really, the app does everything I want and my wishes are first world optimization issues. Especially if you regularly coordinate arrival times with other people, you should get them all using Waze so you can stop calling and start sharing your trips through Waze.

Best App even if you don't need directions

I have been ranked as Waze Royalty in my state since I started using it a few years ago; and that's mostly because I use it for my daily commute to and from work. It's just something fun to have on while driving, but the added bonus is that you get live (or fairly close to live) traffic (and the all too important police trap) reports. The app definitely does drain your battery so I wouldn't recommend using unless you have a way to charge it while you're driving. For me, I have a 2012 Chevy Sonic that is equipped with a USB port; so it's perfect (everything plays through the car's system while charging AND playing my music AND being connected via Bluetooth 👍🏼).

1 suggestion is that I would like speed limit alerts to be available in the US. I am a devoted user, and I'm sure there are more out there, who can report correct speed limits on roads. It would not take long to have accurate speed limit zones throughout to states since it is a user based app. The end result will be safer driving due to drivers being aware of the speed limit just in case they haven't seen a sign in awhile. Anywaze...great app 😎👍🏼

Best GPS app I have found yet

I have been using Waze for several years. I travel a lot for work and have come to love the app for getting me where I need to go. A few of the things that are great about Waze is if you synch it with your calendar, it can get the destination from the location of the event and you can open it right up in Waze and it will route you. They have recently added your speed on the screen which is nice. If the state you are in supports the road speed limit, it will show you if you are exceeding the posted speed limit. I have found several starts that do participate in this. South Carolina and Rhode Island are two that I have found so far that do. Massachusetts and Georgia do not. At least not yet. There are two things that I wish they would change. I wish they would bring back the ability to post cars on the shoulder for the opposite side of the road. You used to be able to do it but not any more. You can post police on the other side of the road though. The second thing is I wish it would show the destination address when you are arriving. That being said. It is a great app and I tell all my friends about it.
