Open the Mac App Store to buy and download apps.
Widgerador creates compatible image gallery widgets for iBooks Author, complete with an easy-to-use slider control.
Widgerador allows you to drag and drop a folder containing all of your project images into the Widgerador App where they’ll automatically be matched in size.
Write a caption for each one of the project images, modify the image position in the gallery and preview any changes you make on the fly. You can also adjust the order of images, add a drop shadow to your images/photos and change caption colors.
Then, save the finished slideshow to a folder, import it into iBooks Author and you’ve got a working slideshow ready to add visual interest to your iBooks Author books and other projects. It’s that simple.

****** IMPORTANT *****
In some very rare cases the generated bundle file loses his file extension. To fix it (it will be fixed in the next release):
1. Select the generated folder.
2. Open the Finder Info panel
3. Add manually .wdgt extension to the folder name
That's all needed for iBooks Author recognizing the recent created widget.
It works like a charm!
This is a really nice app, well done and does it right!
Very responsive developer with great support… but he should fix the .wdgt file extension annoyance
I hope to see some improvements in future versions, as for example the hability to change text tipography
Does NOT general .wdgt file
This only exports a folder containing the HTML and CSS. It does not generate a .wdgt file. The application itself has an "export widget" button and the website demo shows a widget being generated at export. Completely deceptive and should be pulled from the App store.
Total waste of money.
