Better than Before
The app is better than ever. Here's hoping that they don't botch it with the next update.
It is better now than before. They fixed all the major screw-ups they had from previous 2-3 updates (see previous reviews below). I am still getting used to the new interface, but I do not like the preview editor. It screws up my line spacing and makes editing aspects of pictures harder than manually going into the script and changing settings. I am optimistic that they won't botch it with the next one and that it may even improve further. This app is at a slightly higher level it was at nine months ago when I first downloaded it. Get it and use it before it gets worse!
Here are my previous reviews and a warning of what they may do to botch it in the future.
This version freezes on me constantly. I am looking into new blogging apps because I don't want to deal with their problems anymore. This used to be the best blogging app, but the last few updates have made it the worst.
Here is my review of the last update.
I just updated and I hate the new version. It doesn't let me see my notifications (I know I am getting them because I still get the email ones, but the page itself stays blank) and it takes much longer for blog posts to load when I try to change the tags on the reader portion. Literally nothing improved and everything (except the writing/editing area) has gotten worse. Terrible update, if you have any sense then wait for the next one.
While there are a few adjustments yet to be made, specifically the management of what connected social medias are posted to automatically, Wordpress has really outdone itself by making a simple, easy app that perfectly aligns to its web counterpart. I use Wordpress to share my creative writing, & this app helps me keep up with my posts while I'm away from a laptop. It also lets you edit bigger things, like your pages, & view your stats. It is easy to read other people's work from the app as well. All in all, I have many compliments for Wordpress & all it has done for me. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
I've been using the WP App to blog for about 3 years now. It works well and some of the glitches have been worked out over the past 3 years.
One of the problems I'm having could be an iPhone/iPad problem so I don't want to blame it entirely on WP. I can't load photos from PhotoStream. The photos have to be saved on the device I'm uploading from. It didn't used to be this way I don't think. Perhaps this is something that can get fixed in the next upgrade for either the Apple products or WP.
Other than that one problem, I love the App & find it very simple to use. If it didn't have this one issue, it would get my 5 stars hands down.
