We've built the unfair advantage for secretly advancing your career.

Our AI-based career development platform matches users with personalized open career opportunities in real time while they remain completely anonymous.

How does it work?

Once you complete your profile Gloat's AI presents you with only relevant open positions in real time while you remain anonymous. When companies express interest in your anonymous profile, you'll get a notification from us explaining the position and company so you can decide whether or not you want to reveal your full profile and identity to that particular company. You can check out the statuses of your matches on your wishlist whenever it's convenient for you or not at all. Either way, with Gloat you don't have to wonder if you're missing out on your dream opportunity.

No more applying to jobs! Let companies apply to you before even knowing your name.

Edit: thanks to the developer for the response. Look forward to improvements :)!
When typing updates to your profile it keeps popping up that it’s been saved with a image that covers up your text and you can’t see where your cursor is or what you have wrote.

You can set the location you are interested in in the main page of the app (where jobs are listed) or within the settings but these don’t sync. I have no idea why there are two separate areas to type the location you are interested in.

Lots of confusing terms that are not explained. for example, “limited path”. What does this mean? Limited path according to who? The app, the AI, the company? This is confusing!

Too many categories. Boost, and Pro (aka moving up in your field) are redundant. This just adds confusion. Also, Pro lists jobs related to my old career, not current one. This doesn’t make sense. This app seems to focused on the “AI” even when it is not needed and not ready for prime time. No updates to app for 2 months. This app has lots of funding but can’t iron out the little issues?

Developer Response ,

Hi Mikey,

Thank you so much for this detailed feedback! You bring up some good points and I assure you our product and dev teams are working hard on fixing these issues and improving our user experience moving forward.

I really apologize for the confusing terminology, I suppose on our web app it's easier since there are helpful tool tips. Limited Path means that you don't stand a strong change as is based on the information in your profile in comparison to other users in our marketplace as assessed by our algorithms. The location on your path page is intended as a filter for viewing your matches meaning just for that moment to categorize them more clearly. Again, I really apologize for the confusion. The same goes for Pro, Boost, Shift, they are intended as filters. Pro meaning positions similar to the one you currently have, Boost meaning one step up from your current position, but in the same field, and shift of course being a shift in your career. You're right that we need to make this clearer.

Again, I thank you for bringing this detailed feedback to our attention and apologize for the inconvenience it caused you encountering these issues. We hope that you'll continue to use our app and enjoy the benefits Workey can bring. :)

What a waste of time

First off the linked in integration on mobile doesn’t work. Second, on web the keywords it parses are gibberish. Third, after taking the time to edit and clean it all up the anonymous profile export still retains the random keywords rather than what I edited it to be. Fourth , after going through the first round of jobs -that was it. No more. A week later still nothing. The title I am using is quite common. I opened my locations to 4 major cities. Still nothing. This idea is good but it fails to deliver by an avalanche of a long shot. Avoid this unless you like to waste 30 minutes of your time.

Developer Response ,

Hi Todd, first of all I'm so sorry for your experience using Workey! I'd love to be able to discuss this privately with you if you could please message us through the app directly, but I will say that your experience seems like a series of unfortunate events that are certainly not the norm for our app! I can't apologize enough for this. :( Regarding your lack of matches, saying your title is 'quite common' is not reason enough to believe that you would have so many matches, there are many factors involved in matching users and opportunities, but again this is something we'd have to assess on an individual level. I'd love to have the opportunity to optimize your profile so that you can get the most out of our platform if you'd message us privately via the app.

Having said that, even though you put down 4 major cities, we're still a new app and have 600 companies using Workey to hire mainly in the NYC and SF areas right now. While we're growing quickly, please allow some time for companies to adapt to the platform and continue to open more positions. The beauty of Workey is that it's designed so that after you set up your profile you don't even need to sign in ever again and you'll be notified via email every time a company is interested in your anonymous profile. Again, my sincerest apologies for your experience and we'd love the chance to help you via the direct chat in the app.
