Works fine but needs a few more tweaks.
Email works fine, unless you're not on WiFi. Then it just takes a little longer. Need to be able to create & delete folders from App. You can only do this from the computer now. Should be able to adjust the volume and alert sound but can't. I don't use the phone or text much simply because I have a smart phone obviously and use that. But it's very helpful for people with limited texts and/or minutes per month. It can be very useful for some since you basically have 2 lines/numbers to your cell phone if you forward all your home calls to your cell, like I do. I rarely use the Xfinity phone number but it's probably good for a small business. The biggest issue I have is that I can't attach documents. I have docs, ie. résumés, stored on other apps on my phone. There are times when I need to email my résumé or other document but I can't. This app only allows you to attach photos, from what I can tell. Why can't I attach documents?? I have to use my regular email app to send attachments but then they don't link to Xfinity's web page. That's all the ranting. Other than those minor tweaks, it's a good app. I get all of my emails fast and they sync with computer immediately. Please fix the folders, sound control, and the attachments issue. Please
This is much better than the Email that comes with the iPhone. Nice interface. NOT an Email client. Typical Comcast.
Like everything Comcast, a marketing tool…in your face with things you DON'T have/want. Just like the tv guide and Xfinity Remote where you have to wade through premium features you don't have/want, you don't have the option to hide/disable text or voice.
This is not an Email client. You are basically accessing your email account on the server, as if you we're using a browser. Delete an email an it is moved to your Trash folder on the server, and if it hasn't been downloaded to your 'real' email client it isn't. This is particularly annoying with email you want to read later or with attachments you need to open on a PC. It took three Comcast support reps passing me around to get a straight answer and "tough luck". Surprised they don't try to charge for it like the "free"digital converters we now have to pay for to use our TVs. I've been a customer since MediaOne Broadband; moving to another provider is painful, but getting more attractive daily.
Comcast continues to show their inability to deliver a quality application. As reported by thousands, the email count and notification continues to be a frustrating problem on all devices (iPhone, iPad and PC). The address functions are not working properly, even after a number of deletion and reinstall action of the application. And many more frustrating and poorly designed functions.
Comcast service is also useless. After attempting to notify them of numerous issues, all I get back is a looooong apology, telling me to reboot, reinstall, etc. Never they admit of a problem and always blame it on the user. At the end of the day, eventually some problems get solved, but they take forever.
I strongly suggest for any new user to NOT use this application, but get some other better performing email service that stays with you even after you stop using Comcast.
