More flexibility with trade veto control
Admittedly this isn’t necessarily a beef with the app itself, but it’s astounding that the ability to custom tailor trade veto rules in a football league has remain unchanged for all these years. Why not an option to set how many votes it takes for a trade to be veto’ed? Why not an option to make the persons who veto’ed public? Taking it further, a page of veto history would be valuable. This would discourage people from being chronic veto’ers, as their visibly high rate of past vetoing would make their trades more likely to be vetoed in return out of spite.
Yahoo really needs to fix the veto situation. My belief is the veto is a tool to be used to prevent blatantly unfair trades, where both parties interests may not be to better their likelihood of winning. It is not meant to be a strategic tool to prevent an opponent you may be more closely competing with from improving their team. I like to think Yahoo has the same views on the purpose of the veto as I do. The fact that it only take 4/12 players to reject legitimate trades anonymously, without any consequences, is a severe blow to the integrity of the game. I’ll continue to give this app poor reviews and seek other platforms to take my league until this issue is addressed.
Great, but room for improvement
I just want to say that I personally think that this is the best fantasy app on the App Store, but there are obviously issues. If one of my players on my team is either injured or just playing bad, I’ll get a roster alert that says something like “Julian Edelman has been dropped by 567 teams”. The notification isn’t a problem, it’s just that it stays there until I either drop or trade him or he starts doing good again. Can there please be an option to remove or delete these notifications? Also, before your league’s draft, there is no possible way to look at the player’s predicted stats other than going into a mock draft. Could there please be a list of all the players on the home page instead of having to go into a mock draft every single time you want to check someone’s stats. Please take a look into these and consider them. Thank you!
Good, But Room For Improvement
The app itself works well most of the time, it’s reliable, I use it for 90% of my fantasy transactions throughout the season. The biggest problem I’ve encountered is that the message board on the app and the message board on the browser are two entirely different forums for some reason. This definitely creates headaches, since it’s very confusing when half of the league is using one or the other. Kinda seems like they should be one and the same to cut out the possibility of being left in the dark on important announcements or just general league updates, trade requests etc. Speaking of which, it’d be really useful to have the trade block function operating on the app as well as the browser. My other primary complaint is pretty superficial, but I really miss the black background. Maybe you guys could add the option of night time mode? Seems easy enough. Otherwise this app gets 5 Stars.
Thanks for the review. Our team is constantly looking for ways to improve the app, so we'll pass along your feedback. We're striving to give you the best app experience possible!
