Essential to Making the Most of the Park

I absolutely love the Chimani apps -- After their invaluable assistance in Acadia, the Grand Tetons, and now Yellowstone, I can't imagine visiting a national park without them. Their maps are great, and I've found the ability to build an itinerary incredibly helpful.

My only piece of constructive criticism would be it would be fantastic to be able to put in a duration or length and have it generate a list of the hiking options that fit that bill. Right now you can filter by easy, moderate, or strenuous but I couldn't figure out how to get moderate, 4-hour hikes.

Otherwise, for the history and geology and natural wonders the National Parks provide, Chimani Yellowstone is almost like having a park ranger in your smartphone.

Awesome app with things to improve

I like this app, very thoughtfully designed.
One improvement: when I download maps, pls let it download in the background, do not ask me to stay on that screen and look at the progress bar. I didn't know this in the beginning and put my phone aside when downloading, it eventually got my phone dead. I can't turn it on at all. I think it was sort of memory leak. I was able to turn it on by pressing both "swith on/off" key and home key. Pls improve this and this will make this app look bad.

The map shows you where you are in the park

Download this app before you arrive. You don't have to be connected to the internet while using it. Satellites will show you where you are on the app's map - that was very helpful. You can click on the upcoming features to read about them and decide which ones to stop at. I'm very glad I had downloaded this app before my visit to Yellowstone!
