Reseña de álbum

Stan Freberg was a real phenomenon in the early to mid-'50s, cranking out single after single of inspired parodies of whatever style of music happened to be popular at the time. After a few years it finally dawned on someone that maybe some of those singles should be collected onto an album for those who hadn't managed to pick the songs up on 45. Oddly, just a few years later, Capitol also released The Best of Stan Freberg, which shares eight tracks with this release. Nevertheless, A Child's Garden of Freberg remains an excellent overview of Freberg's early years and is well worth the purchase, if you can find it. [If you can't, the majority of the album also appears on several different CDs, including the Greatest Hits compilation, and if you're more ambitious, the Tip of the Freberg box set.]
