Reseña de álbum

Considering the nearly perfect new wave of Bionic Parts, it's even more impressive that Mocket's sophomore effort not only matches the debut's delirious momentum, but actually ups the duo's own ante with a sound even more gripping than could have been expected. On this 12-track follow-up, Matt Steinke and Audrey Marrs continue playing tug of war at the microphone, their stutter-sputtered voices clashing and crashing into each other with spot-on precision. The songs are louder and longer than before; some even break the three-minute mark! And while tracks like "B for Becker" and "What Do Babies Want" show the band rummaging through — and perfecting — the same punk-inspired sounds found on Bionic Parts, the twosome slows it down for the closing "First Screening," where Marrs proves she has a more introspective, subtle side to her Kathleen Hanna-meets-Robocop voice.
