Trimming the filler from RCA's 2001 best-of compilation, this Platinum & Gold edition collects SWV's chart-topping hits from the '90s, making this another wonderful addition to RCA's economical series. While more dedicated fans would find the aforementioned best-of compilation more thorough and fulfilling, those looking for just the soulful ballads and pop chart hits the group was known for would find this a sensible purchase.

With their 1992 debut, It's About Time, the all-female new jack swing trio SWV scored a string of Top Ten R&B hits that established them as one of the most popular urban R&B groups of the '90s. SWV (their name is an acronym for Sisters with Voices) is comprised of three school friends: Coko (born Cheryl Gamble), Taj (born Tamara Johnson), and Lelee (born Leanne Lyons).
