PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS GAME IS NOT FOR IPAD1 - IT IS FOR IPAD2 AND ABOVE!
The Minnesota Tri-Wheel® has been in licensed, regulated and live nightly play in dozens of Minnesota and North Dakota bars since 1986. It is a bit of a cult game in the Minneapolis St. Paul metro area where it has raised literally millions of dollars for charitable organizations.
This Dakota Tri-Wheel™ is an electronic embellishment of the earlier Tri-Wheel® designed for personal amusement play. It also hints at future electronic versions being developed for regulated play in legalized wagering venues.
Dakota TW has the three-rings as the original 1986 version, only now each ring spins independently allowing for multi-ring wagers with higher payouts. In watching people play our live wheels, we have enjoyed how players rise from their seats shouting for their number or symbol as the wheel slowly inches toward a possible win – slamming back in their chair when the wheel clacks ever so slowly past. Our wheel games move players or if you don’t mind cute – we wheely move players.
This edition allows players to view their bet placements right on the wheel providing even better tracking of prospects. Likewise, because we don’t need to counter the bias of a mechanical spin, we have arrayed the numbers around the wheel in numeric sequence – making it even easier to plot strategic targets.
The “Bank & Setup Control” panel allows players to clear credits, add credits, set for either long or short spin durations, set the time interval between spins or have it spin on demand, reset the spin counter and it allows for a security code that slightly protects your settings. I say “slightly” because it is only two digit thus can be fairly quickly broken if you forget your code number or key.
The game has an auto bet selection repeater that relieves you of having to reselect your betting strategy with each spin.
The sound is authentic wooden paddle, a bit of a soft “clack” over wooden pegs, not the “ping” of more modern wheels.
If you like Roulette, you will find the multi-ring options on this game a little more fascinating. We hope you also enjoy the ability to watch your prospects rise or fall in the rotation of the wheel as a value added over Roulette. If you like Keno, you might find the visual display of a wheel a bit more interesting than a flashboard. If you like the Big Six Wheel, you should love this on so many different levels. Enjoy.
