Biografía

Post-hardcore outfit YouInSeries originally formed in 2003 around vocalist Kyle Lobeck and drummer Cheyne Smith as Brown Eyed Deception. Guitarist/vocalist Logan Lanning joined a year later, and the final additions of guitarist Chris Davila and bassist Jacob Kirkegard completed the quintet. Based in Las Vegas, the group follows in the same vein as emotive yet aggressive bands like Thrice and Circa Survive. The driving force behind YouInSeries is the concept that one must learn to embrace the present because that is the only point at which one truly exists; people ultimately have no control over their realities, since life is full of random events. Thus, "You are in a series of events." Following two years of D.I.Y. nationwide touring, the band — all members hovering around their early twenties — inked a deal with Equal Vision in early 2006. Their debut album, Outside We Are Fine, was produced by Brian McTernan (Thrice, Hot Water Music) and issued the following May. Much of the summer was then spent on the road alongside labelmates Circa Survive; that fall, Smith and Lanning exited the band. They were soon replaced by drummer Daniel and ex-Versus the Mirror guitarist Kevin Ryan.
