About Jack Irons

Jack Irons is a drummer, multi-instrumentalist, and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee who is best known as a founding member of Red Hot Chili Peppers, ex-drummer for Pearl Jam and Eleven, and kit man for alt rock supergroup Spinnerette. Active since the mid-'80s, Irons has played with some of rock's biggest names, including Joe Strummer, Neil Young, the Wallflowers, Awolnation, and Mark Lanegan Band. In 2004, he issued his first solo effort, Attention Dimension, followed in 2010 by No Heads Are Better Than One. A pair of experimental rock EPs, Dream of Luminous Blue and Koi Fish in Space, appeared in 2019 and 2022, respectively.
