About Bobo Stenson

Swedish jazz pianist and trio leader Bobo Stenson began his career in the early 1960s playing with Dexter Gordon and other American jazzers on tour in Europe. In 1968, he toured Africa with Stan Getz. In 1973, Stenson's trio joined Jan Garbarek for the popular albums Witchi-Tai-To and Dansere. His trio has released more than ten albums since 1971, including War Orphans (1997), Serenity (1999), and Indicum (2012). Further, he has served as the label's house pianist backing artists such as Charles Lloyd and Tomasz Stanko, among others. The Bobo Stenson Trio released Sphere in 2023.
