Brian Crain is a self-taught pianist and composer of instrumental music who often works in unusual time signatures. ∙ After several attempts to become a Major League baseball player, Crain released the 1997 album Morning Light, which sold well enough for him to realize he could make a living playing music. ∙ His success in South Korea led to him becoming an Honorary Cultural Ambassador for the city of Yeongwol in 2013.
