In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. It's cliche, but hearing the Dark Side of the Moon for the first time after years of only classical music was a revelation. It had all the same scope as the symphonies and concertos that I was raised on but the instrumentation was from the future! What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Frost*, Milliontown Jean-Michel Jarre, Oxygène Pink Floyd, Wish You Were Here All of these albums opened my mind in a different way. All are full of complex layers of melodies and sound design and always sound fresh to me. I know every note of all of them, but also hear new things on every listen. Tell us why you chose this song. “The Old Me (3rd Spark)” This song will always be special as it's the first song I wrote for what would become Cephid. When I finished it I knew that it was going to be the final track on an album, I just didn't know what the rest of the album was going to sound like yet! What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Working with OMD was (and still is) totally amazing. Going from playing Enola Gay in my first band as a teenager to getting a call asking to remix one of their tracks still feels unreal. It was such a fun project to work on too, I love that track! Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I've always love big theatrical live shows by artists like Pink Floyd, Kate Bush and Jean-Michel Jarre. I'd love to play Cephid live on a big stage - something mad like under the radio telescope at Jodrell Bank or on top of the Millenium Dome.
