About Excuse Me Moses

Viennese rock band Excuse Me Moses were first founded under the name Funkalicious in summer 2000 by singer Michael "Paukee" Paukner, guitarist Dietmar "Diz" Schrödl, bassist Gerald Weichselbaum, and drummer Gerhard Bergauer. They released the Deduction EP in 2002, followed by their debut album, Perfekta, in 2004. After Bergauer was replaced by drummer Martin Scheer, the group changed its style from funk-rock to rock and renamed itself Excuse Me Moses. Following the release of two singles, the group issued its first album, summer 2007's 1st Last Will, which reached number 13 and stayed in the charts for ten weeks. A new non-album single, "Godzilla Killa (Superhero)," followed in January 2008 (an early version of the song had already been released on the Deduction EP). ~ Christian Genzel
