Bankroll Fresh was a rapper and actor best known for his mixtapes and guest appearances alongside more established hip-hop artists. ∙ He began his career in 2006 under the name Yung Fresh, appearing on trap-music pioneer Gucci Mane’s track “Shooters” and other recordings. ∙ Alongside rappers Future and Casino, he appeared on “For the Love,” a 2013 track from 19 & Boomin, the debut mixtape by budding star producer Metro Boomin. ∙ He provided vocals on hitmaking DJ-producer Mike WiLL Made-It’s “Screen Door,” a track from the latter’s 2014 mixtape, Ransom. ∙ “Hot Boy,” the single from his 2014 mixtape, Life of a Hot Boy, is Fresh’s best known solo track. ∙ He had a guest turn on Jeezy’s 2016 Platinum hit “All There”—and the hip-hop star dedicated the song’s video to Fresh after the rapper’s death that year.
