About Sean Curtis Patrick

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My parents driving over to my grandparents and listening to Paul Simon's Graceland, with the windows down and the sun shining. I must have been around three. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Boards of Canada, Geogaddi Electric Light Orchestra, Out of the Blue Radiohead, Amnesiac BOC opened my mind and showed me there were others that loved short vignettes that created small worlds of sound and imagery. Radiohead changed my life. They made me care about music. Jeff Lynne could do no wrong in this era of perfect songs. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “For Peter Croft & Conrad Anker” Peter Croft and Conrad Anker are two of my longtime climbing heroes. I remember vividly seeing that cover of 1998 Nat Geo cover with Conrad, hanging a leg over a cliff's edge in Antarctica and thinking "That's me in the future. It needs to be." What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I have two: Playing small but interesting solo shows in Japan and just a week before being at the Banff Centre Residency is the first. The second is winning my Emmy for my Greenland documentary, that a bunch of my friends and I wrote the music for. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Because my whole life is the art and science I create, I still have much to do and accomplish before I am dust. Many more expeditions, albums, books, paintings, films, and experiences, to have, make, and embark on.
