The Last Hurrah!! is an international pop/rock project whose constantly evolving lineup creates sounds drawing heavily from the music of the '60s and early '70s. The project was assembled in 2010 by successful veteran producer and multi-instrumentalist HP Gundersen (Sondra Lerche, Madrugada, Ane Brun, Tim Rose). He became obsessed with Stephen Stills' "secret tuning" on "Suite: Judy Blue Eyes," and he spent some time exploring music based on open, modal guitar tunings, hence his term for the Last Hurrah!!'s music: "drone guitar." Signed to Rune Grammofon, their debut album, Spiritual Non-Believers, was released in 2011, followed by 2013's universally acclaimed The Beauty of Fake and Mudflowers in 2015. ~ Thom Jurek
