About Taylor Henderson

Australian singer/songwriter Taylor Henderson first appeared in the public eye when he and his father sang on the fourth season of Australia's Got Talent in 2010. However, he didn't get his big break until his 2013 appearance on the fifth season of The X Factor Australia. Several of his performances (including covers of Mumford & Sons, Daryl Braithwaite, and Damien Rice) reached the Australian singles charts, and he signed a contract with Sony Music Australia. His single "Borrow My Heart," released on November 1, debuted at number one and eventually went double platinum. His self-titled debut album, consisting of studio versions of songs he performed on The X Factor, came out at the end of the month, and also debuted at number one and was certified platinum. His sophomore full-length and first album of all original material, Burnt Letters, was released in July of 2014. The acoustic folk-pop album demonstrated Henderson's significant growth as an artist, and was Henderson's second to debut at number one. The album's first single, the ballad "When You Were Mine," peaked at number five and was certified platinum. ~ Paul Simpson
