Heard It All Before...

As a massive fan eagerly awaiting this album, I have purchased every single so far. Not counting remixes & extended versions - there are only 6 new songs here. Disgraceful.

3 years!

I am a long time fan of Calvin's work since his debut album 'I Created Disco' in 2007. He has not released a new album since 2009's 'Ready for the Weekend', instead focusing on putting out singles instead. I am glad he finally decided to throw a record together though. Despite that 6 of the songs have already been officially released + "Awooga", it's great to have all the hits on one disc, alongside 7 brand new tracks. Based on the preview, "Thinking About You" is my favourite so far. I hope it's released as a single. I will admit, the singles are a little more mainstream than his previous work, but the other tracks on this album do offer more of his pure electronic sound. He really deserves all the success he has been getting though. He is a great producer. There are just a lot of annoying bandwagon fans now because of 'We Found Love'.

ok but disappointing

As an avid Calvin Harris fan, since 'ready for the weekend' I had been waiting for the day he brought out his next album but to be completely honest it is relatively disappointing. Although there are some tracks which return to his classic sound, this album suggests he has very much become a mainstream/pop DJ, similar to the progression of David Guetta who I have grown to dislike. Let's just hope when he plays a live set that he actually dj's and doesn't just stand on stage, press play on his itunes, and fiddle with the volume like Guetta.
